CPW Research Library

COLLECTIONS

CPW Research Library: Print collection, housed in the Fort Collins office, of over 15,000 monographs, theses, journals, and agency publications. Many of the agency publications have been digitized. Print materials are available for check-out to CPW staff. If a digital copy is available, the catalog record will contain the link. Digital items are available to all.

CPW Digital Collections: A growing repository of digital agency publications, grouped in collections for easy access. Collections include CPW Research Series, Regulation Brochures, Annual Reports, Fact Sheets, Researcher Bios/Publications and much more! Our digital collections can also be found in the Plains to Peaks Collective and the Digital Public Library of America (DPLA).

E-Journals and Databases: Search for journal articles using EBSCO Discovery. Use Journal/Database Finder to search for specific journal or database titles. Supplemental Sources lists non-EBSCO research sources. Many of the journals and databases are subscription and require a CPW library account, only available to CPW staff.

SEARCH TIPS

The EDS Quick Start Guide offers How-To Information on searching, applying filters, saving searches, creating alerts, etc.

Our EDS catalog indexes thousands of journals and other sources. To limit to the CPW Research Library collection use the CPW library collection only filter. To limit to the CPW Digital Collections use the CPW Digital Collections only filter. (Do not apply both filters at once). Other filters include Linked Full Text, Peer Reviewed, and Publication Date.

ABOUT THE LIBRARY

The Research Library was created in the late 1960s to provide support primarily to the wildlife research sections. The Research Library evolved to serve the broader information management needs of CPW staff. Library collections are focused on wildlife ecology and associated ecological information and CPW public historical records such as Parks and Wildlife Commission meeting agendas and minutes.
