Mammals Research: Quarterly and Annual Reports
In 1937 the U.S. Congress enacted, and President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed, the Federal Aid to Wildlife Restoration Act (50S-917). This milestone in wildlife financing is popularly known as the Pittman-Robertson act. The Colorado Federal Aid to Wildlife Restoration program began in 1937, shortly after enabling legislation by the Congress in 1936. Reports of progress, as required by the Federal Aid Act, first appeared in 1938. Federal Aid reports have been prepared continuously since. Beginning in 1947 and continuing through 2000, Colorado Federal Aid Reports were issued quarterly, in January, April, July and October. From 2001, publication has been on an annual basis.
